My wife and I can't get over the way Facebook seems to listen in on the things we talk about and then boom an Ad pops up trying to sell us something we were discussing. Man if we were talking about sunglasses and out of the blue a company mailed us some free sunglasses without any contact I would really be freaked out. They must really be listening. As for GenX, I was raised with such a high level of respect for other peoples property because my parents worked so hard for the little bit that we had. I would never entertain an idea that could damage someone else's property from little on up. We did the same things though disappearing on bikes for hours, miles away from home with a casio watch on and a house key on a shoe string around our neck. I started earning my own money around 11 or 12 years old and have worked a job ever since.

You don't want a motorhome, not just for all the reasons you said. Insurance and license are high cost but if something goes wrong, your house is in the shop. If you buy older you may have dust leaks. Again if you have a mager accident or repairs you are layed up possibly with out your home to stay in. We had a tire blow out, the size was obsolete so hard to find on the side of the expressway. Also it ripped out our water lines, so when we turned the water on it leaked every where. We didnt know it right away and no showers or doing dishes. We were on our way home in Florida when it happened and heading home to Michigan. Long trip home. Like you said you need a tow dolly for another vehicle to pull behind so you dont want to be too long. Also slide outs can leak or have bugs (ants, cockroaches, spiders or mold) come in. We went to a trailer after we got home.

I'm a long time subscriber and while watching this video I heard your comments about Dr's pushing pills. I too am on medication prescribed by the VA for cholesterol , acid reflex, and agent orange caused diabetes . I highly recommend those medications but ( as recommended by my Dr you need to exercise and diet. I am limited because of my age and physical limitations , however I have found the meds to be very beneficial. I recommend habit of short walks and e-bike rides . I have dropped from 265 to 238. I eat a lot of salads and I have reduced carbs. Do not crash diet, just adjust your portion size , snacking, and reduce high fat foods. It sounds like you two have to right meds , motivation, and weight loss plans. ( Congrats to Hedi on quiting her smoking habit. That's a BIG thing). I'm not complaining or telling you what to do about your videos, You're more successful and experienced a creator than I, however I would recommend breaking up your long videos ( orver 45-60 min) . Like many other viewers, I seldom sit through videos over 60 minutes long. I still look forward to your content , however , like many good things, more frequent ,smaller portions, and a larger variety may be beneficial to you and more enjoyable to your viewers. Please excuse my suggestion, I only wanted to share my thoughts. No disrespect intended. Concerning my condition, I am a 73 year old Vietnam Vet with Diabetes caused by exposure to Agent Orange , I also have Acid Reflex and High Cholesterol (and other issues).

No seed oils and you can have real butter and bacon and anything from animal. I eat two times a day and there is no set amounts , you quit eatting when you are full . I had a hamburger and a egg for supper. I don't eat veggies.

Ok I am on osempic but my numbers are really great. I more number I am not diabetic. Eye doctor said I am not diabetic any more.

Heidi, I take Metformin 1000mg a morning and 1000mg of the evening. I've been on it over ten years but have to get blood work done every three months as they say it could be hard on your kidneys but I have not had any problems with my kidneys so far. Take care and feel fortunate as there are ways to control diabetic effects.

My A1C went from 7.2 to 10.2 in 3 months, I am on farxiga I took my A1C to 7.2 in 3 mo. Stopped sugar and low carb 1300 calorie dropped 40 lbs

Two comments based on my experience. If you have deer in the yard. Check for deer tick bites after cutting the grass. You have to start antibiotic within 72 hours of bite to be effective. A1C. Jardiance is a big seller for AIC levels and side effect includes weight loss. Other UA-cam videos on the subject.

Have you looked into berberine. It helps diabetes abd weight but it's all natural. My daughter is on it. It's been great. the berberine has basically no side effects. She's lost 30 pounds in a couple of months.

Type 2 diabetes is 100% reversible you got to say no to sugar no to carbs. Checkout Dr Ken Berry and there's many others that tell you how to stop the sugar.

Heidi, not to be a broken record, but for us Type II people it’s not sugar you need to watch, it’s actually carbs. Be careful how much carbs you eat not necessarily the your sugar intake. Good luck in reducing your A1C. You don’t need to about eating before take blood for the A1C it is a study over time and fasting is not necessary nor required. With diabetes, it may be a cocktail of medication, for me i take MetFormin, Jardiance, and a weekly shot of Mounjaro. Good Luck and hope it works out for you.

We have been eating that stupid over priced door dash. It's hard. But after watching, I'm bringing up my salad spinner from the basement and buying alot more vegetables. That diagnosis sucks sorry Heidi. I'm really going to try too in solidarity. Diting my Dr pepper zero for water. When I get sick of water I give it a splash of cran grape or simply apple for fall soon. As woman it's hard to put your self first. But you deserve it. Now I gotta convince myself too. Everything you said about drs is so spot on, it is sad that our “health” care system is like this. I am 50 years old with strong family history of all major diseases and so far I have managed to stay healthy. I just got my labs back and i am just over into pre diabetes with my Hba1c. My doc told me to eat low carb and exercise more Let me tell you that js enough to scare me straight so I am right there with ya on getting healthier!!!

I am a diabetic for 19 years now. Type 2 for 18 years and now type 1 and yes that happens. My best advice is go to Dr. Berry on UA-cam. He is a real doctor that wants to make you healthier without pills. My A1C was 8.0 10 months ago is now 6.6. Good luck

Diagnosed type 2. Strict carnivore diet for 9-months has reversed the diagnosis. Not easy for some--but absolutely doable. Plenty of good information on youtube from several doctors and others who have been doing it for years. Good luck to you however you decide to deal with it. Take care.
